montage madness

there are alot of thing in life we will never get and im fine with that, but there is one particular thing that i think we all need at some point in our life, our own personal montage.
Inspired by Rocky IV (the most montage saturated movie in the series, so heavy in montages it actually had a montage of previous montages!) i began to wonder what life would be like with rocky-esk montages thrown in at just the right moments, and like the crazy robot in Rocky IV (what was the deal with that???) mundane montages would be awesome!
The first montage i want is the “Tim and his drill” montage. Settling into the unit at caboolture meant beefing up the security and fixing stuff around the place, i spent alot of time alone with my drill doing handyman style work and formed a special bond with my beloved drill, to the extent that i was a little upset when i found out my house mate had been spending time with my drill behind my back, i accept that it was only a fleeting romance but i still am not ready to open my handyman heart again. Anyway back to the montage, i picture various cut scenes of me drilling and screwing (not the fun kind) and playing in the park with my drill, sharing a sunrise and cuddling up to it on the couch watching backyard blitz set to James Blunt’s “You’re Beautiful”.
Other montages would be more inspirational, like hanging out the washing montage, looking for my keys montage and of course blogging about montages montage.
Back to the serious side of montages, it would be nice to have a montage of your most prized memories, with a few life changing moments thrown in, something to look back on and be inspired to do enough to deserve a second montage further down the track.
Sadly it seems that none of us will get such a luxury of a personal montage, the closest we will get is a hastily thrown together slide show of all our worst photo’s set to a song we didn’t choose shown at our funeral. Sorry grandpa!
